R. Steven (Steve) Rogers is a licensed Private Detective in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. Additionally, he is a licensed protective agent in Minnesota and licensed to provide private security in Wisconsin. We also operate in South Dakota. He is also an EMT. We have been the Chief Investigators for a number of high-profile cases including the 2013 Terrance Franklin case where my work was highlighted in Time Magazine in June of 2021 ( https://time.com/6075094/terrance-franklin-shooting/ ).
In reference to this case, Hennepin County District Attorney Mike Freeman is quoted as saying we performed “extraordinary investigative work” ( https://time.com/6084463/terrance-franklin-prosecutor/ ).
This case is now under review as of October 2021 for possible criminal charges and the involved officers have all retained counsel ( https://time.com/6104087/minneapolis-police-lawyers-terrance-franklin/ ).
I also was responsible for the investigation into the Dan Rassier case, who was falsely accused of the kidnapping and murder of Jacob Wetterling. This was a massive undertaking with the case file being around 40,000 pages. Our work led to a number of media reports and a series of podcasts about the failures of law enforcement that not only could have prevented the Wetterling murder but proved they had the evidence the entire time that was needed to solve the case.
His background in the protective field is primarily based in Presidential Campaigns, public events for congressmen, and other similar clients. He has experience in strategic and emergency response planning, advancing venues, close protective detail, team management and much more. He also has significant experience in securing sensitive corporate data prior to public release to shareholders.
He has been a licensed EMT since 1997; he is currently a certified American Heart Association Basic Life Support Instructor (which includes civilian and Professional Rescuer CPR, AED, and First Aid including Pediatrics) and have often taken more continuing education than is required to maintain my license.
Rogers is also the President of Pistolcraft, Inc., a firearms training firm grounded in proven real-world techniques. We are certified by the State of Minnesota to train instructors under the carry permit system. As well as being certified by the NRA as an instructor in multiple disciplines, in the past Rogers has held other certifications by other states and agencies including Utah, the MN DNR, and others.
Under Pistolcraft’s alter ego, Force Management Academy, he co-authored and taught a self-defense course in the local MNSCU college system for over 5 years, as well as teaching men, women, and children self-protection.
